The 3D Network Professional Virtual Enterprise Initiative (pronounced 3DNPV) was first created and joined by members worldwide around common interests in March of 2007.

We do what we would be doing for free anyway, because that is our passion. The difference with 'open source' is that, we put ourselves and our members in a position where revenues are possible. Open source software is great for developers because they can do exactly what they want for some time, but the ability to potentially continue doing what we love for an extended period is better.

This will be a player owned economy. Worlds, scenes and objects are to be added and linked to create a thriving economy of goods, services, and most importantly, communications and relationships.

Our premise is that, it is not the individual properties of objects that have value, but the quality of the relationship that they have with each other that creates value.
